Computational Analysis of Turbulent Natural Convection in Water Filled Tall Enclosure

In this study, the turbulent buoyancy driven fluid flow and heat transfer in a differentially heated rectangular enclosure filled with water is quantified numerically. The two dimensional governing differential equations are discretized using finite volume method. SIMPLE algorithm employed to obtain stabilized solution for high Rayleigh numbers by computational code written FORTRAN language. A parametric study undertaken effect of (1010 1014), aspect ratio (30, 40 50), tilt angle (10o 170o ) on investigated. results adopted model present work compared previously published qualitative agreement good validation obtained. Results show that circulation temperature fields strongly affected Number.
